Acaena microphylla

Acaena are low-growing, mainly evergreen perennials and sub-shrubs, from the Southern Hemisphere. They require moist, well-drained soil and a sunny or partially shaded site.

Acaena glabra is an evergreen perennial, which forms large patches up to 12 in (30 cm) across. The leaves are grey-green and consist of 7 to 11 leaflets. The flowers are green or red, summer.

Dracaena deremensis 'Janet Craig Compacta': Shiny dark green leaves 8 inches long and 2 inches wide resemble the top of a pineapple. The species reaches 6 feet or taller; the dwarf form D. d. 'Janet Craig Compacta' grows to only 20 inches.

^ Cordyline stricta was first described and published by botanist John Sims under the name Dracaena stricta, its basionym, in Botanical Magazine, 52: t. 2575. 1825. "Name - Dracaena stricta Sims". Tropicos.

Compare it with Agapanthus, Dracaena, Phormium, and Yucca, which belong to the same family. Cordyline is distinguishable from Dracaena, which it most resembles, by having three seeds per berry rather than one.
