Achillea millefolium or yarrow is a flowering plant in the family Asteraceae, native to the Northern Hemisphere.[1] In New Mexico and southern Colorado, it is called plumajillo, or "little feather", for the shape of the leaves.

This Achillea millefolium hybrid (possibly with Achillea clypeolata) was selected in 2001 by Holland's Michiel Zwaan, who bred it from the Achillea Summer Pastels' seed series.

The Achillea genus was named by Linnaeus in 1753 when he also named this species "Achillea millefolium" from specimens collected in Europe.
