Salvia farinacea ‘Evolution’ has the same growth habit as ‘Victoria’ but what sets it apart is that ‘Evolution’ is the first violet flowering Salvia.

Cleveland Blue Sage (Salvia clevelandii): This evergreen salvia has very strongly aromatic, resinous, gray leaves. The scent travels on the air, unlike most salvias which must be rubbed to release their fragrance.

pitcheri (Tall Blue Sage) The North American native, Salvia azurea ssp pitcheri is the most cold hardy of this group. Many forms are quite tall and gangly, making them poor garden subjects. The best is unquestionably Salvia azurea 'Nekan'.

Sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata, Big Sagebrush, Common Sagebrush, Blue Sagebrush, or Black Sagebrush) is a shrub or small tree from the family Asteraceae. Some botanists treat it in the segregate genus Seriphidium, as S. tridentatum (Nutt.) W. A.

Common in the eastern half of Oklahoma and Texas, Blue sage occurs in open fields and pastures, along roadsides, and in partially shaded areas. Flowers are light blue to sky blue, occur on terminal spikes and have a large, nearly flat lower lip.
