Bluebeard is an attractive, compact, mounding shrub, 1-3 m tall, with bluish-purple blooms, found in subtropical or outer Himalayas from Pakistan to Bhutan, India and Bangladesh. Leaves are lance-shaped to elliptic, acuminate, 4-10 cm long, 1-2.

C. incana is very like C. clandonensis except that the leaves are aromatic and sharply dentated, and the flowers are usually in the purple-blue range but may sometimes be white.

Bluebeard (Salvia Horminum) - A useful annual kind from the south of Europe, of dwarf spreading habit, with oval or wedgeshaped leaves and showy clusters of colored bracts around inconspicuous blue flowers.
