Cactus

Notocactus is a genus of about 25 species of South-American cacti form low elevations of Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Southern Brazil. They are grown for their spine formations, as well as for their attractive flowers.

Tephrocactus articulata cv. papyracantha is a small cactus native to Western Argentina. The gray-green cactus has jointed stems approximately 2 inches (5 cm) long by 1.25 inches (3 cm) wide and will reach 12 inches (30 cm) in height.

Zygocactus Schlumbergera truncata is known in the Southern Hemisphere as the Christmas Cactus. It flowers in pinks and reds, requires bright but not strong sunlight, medium watering with good drainage.

A sumptuous cactus dahlia with garnet-red flowers which have a near-black centre. The fully double flowers have long and narrow pointed petals that recurve for more than half their length.

Interesting cactus known for growing horizontally instead of vertically. It's called the Creeping Devil because as it grows it "creeps" over other plants and blocks out their sunlight.

Plant Type: This is a cactus, it is a perennial and is a evergreen which can reach 64cm in height (25inches). It is usually a reclining plant which spreads along the ground reaching ony about 20cm (8"). It occasionally stands somwhat erect.

This cactus (a native of the Eastern United States, not the American West) is an aggressive grower and roots easily from any "pad" or "pad part" that happens to fall from the parent plant. It was formerly known as Opuntia compressa.

This family is related to the Cactus clan, though the flowers look superficially like they belong in the sunflower family. The Ice Plant Family has close to 2,000 species. Most of these are killed by winter frosts.
