Conifer, evergreen, slow growing, to about 75-120 ft [23-37 m] high and somewhat less of a spread, branches more or less horizontal, lower branches may sweep to the ground.

The cultivar, 'Glauce Pendula' is a graceful cedar that has a thin, column shape and long, stiff, green needles with barrel-shaped cones. Branches are long and droop.

The "Pendula" form is one of the hardiest of Cedrus libani. Some of these Pendulas weep far more dramatically, humping over onto the ground like green-furred serpents.

According to the IUCN Red List of Threatened species, Cedrus libani is listed as LR/nt. It is at a Lower Risk, meaning that it doesn't fulfill the criteria for any of the categories of Critically Endangered, Endangered or Vulnerable.

Cedrus libani, the cedar of Lebanon, is especially tolerant of alkali soils, and is hardy to zones 5-7; Cedrus deodara, or deodar cedar, is hardy zone 6-7, and Cedrus atlantica, the atlas cedar, in zones 6-8

Cedrus libani: Cedar of Lebanon - in nature, Cedar of Lebanon can grow to be 100 feet tall. It has an unusually speading, rounded profile for a conifer, and is often seen with multiple trunks. Needle lenght is about 1 inch. Zones 6-8.
