General Notes
Needs good drainage. Lemon is one of the least hardy of the citrus. 'Eureka' and 'Lisbon' are common varieties. 'Lisbon' best inland. Citrus grafted to sour organge root stock is resistant to Texas Root Rot.

Pink Lemonade Lemon
One of the most beautiful citrus varieties. The fruit is green and yellow striped with a pink interior. This is a small everbearing tree. Sensitive when too much moisture in the pot.

Citrus limon 'Eureka Variegated Pink'
Green and yellow striped lemons with a pink flesh mature to a baseball-sized fruit. Sweetly fragrant blooms are tucked among the cream and green mottled foliage. A beautiful specimen for a sunny patio.

Wild Mandarin. Citrus limonia. Not common.
Wild Stock. (Matthiola incana). Also known as Gilliflower. A wild version of the ornamental stock many people grow as an annual. Not common but seen on a path or in a nature reserve.

The Rangpur lime is believed to have resulted from a cross between the lemon (Citrus limon) and the mandarin or tangerine (C. reticulata). It is more cold hardy than the lemon or lime and every bit as sour as either.

The fruit of the tree named Citrus Limon originates in India. The Arabs were those who have brought it later on to the area of the Mediterranean Sea.

Propagate from seed, semi-ripe cuttings or by grafting onto Citrus limon rootstock, see also Citrus paradisi. Well-drained acidic soil; provide very good light, water well and regularly, and provide slightly acidic, gritty soil.
