Clover (Basibuguk meaning "small leaves" or Trifolium pratense), dried flowers, leaves and combinations with other herbs (roots) was used as a medicine (for heart trouble), but its primary use was as food and as a tea.
A clover that prefers heavy, moist soil. The flowers on this legume form small heads with purple or pink flowers. Can be distinguished from other clovers by the pea-shaped flower pods.
All clovers can be called shamrocks, but not all shamrocks are clovers. Many more plants are called shamrocks around St. Patrick's Day than the rest of the year when they are probably called 'Oxalis' or 'clover.' ...
But, clover doesn't make an especially good houseplant, so most of the "shamrocks" I see for sale to mark the holiday are Oxalis, a completely unrelated plant from the tropics.

Leaves: Clover-like trifoliate leaves have a blue-green coloring.
Flowers: Pea-like blossoms start as plump, tight buds. The flowers are borne on long racemes and are a vivid blue, often with flecks of cream or yellow.
If you compare clovers to other members of the Pea family then you will see that they share more in common with alfalfa and sweet clover than with other plants like beans or caragana bushes.
