Cucurbita pepo, 'Royal'are high-yielding vines that produce dark-green, deeply ribbed fruits that turn orange when stored. This acorn squash has moderate sweetness and fine, dry flavored flesh - exquisite when baked. Planting depth: .5-1 inch.
