Delosperma nubigenum

Plants DelospermaDelphinium

Delosperma nubigenum 'Basutoland'
Yellow Ice Plant
Brilliant yellow single flowers are plentiful in May and June. Bright green jellybean foliage spreads to form solid mats in full sun to bright shade.

Delosperma nubigenum is the most cold resistant of the Ice Plants, it is slightly more resistant than Delosperma cooperi, but has a shorter blooming season.

From Turkey comes Veronica liwanensis (zone 6), an inch-tall sheet of bright blue flowers in late spring and summer. From South Africa come two hardy ice plants: Delosperma nubigenum with bright yellow flowers and D. cooperi with rich purple blooms.
