Orange Desert Mallow or Globe Mallows are semi-woody perennial from rocky dryish sites in southwestern USA.
Also known by the names desert mallow and apricot mallow, this small shrub is often cut to the ground after flowering to get fresh, compact growth. The translucent petals seem to cup themselves around sunlight, giving them an inner glow.
