20 Foot Dracaena - Ikea and Plant Care For Anyone
Many plant owners make plant care too difficult. However, a couple in North Carolina innocently bought a 2 foot Dracaena fragrans back in 1999 at an Ikea store. They just liked the way it looked.

Dracaenas hold a bit part in the annals of Cold War craziness. In 1966, a New York polygraph expert, Clive Backster, attached his polygraph leads to a dracaena in his office and elicited a fright response when he had bad thoughts towards the plants.

Dracaena or corn plant is another popular house plant for shade. These tropical house plants grow anywhere from a foot tall to several feet tall and have large, flat leaves that looks a little bit like a palm.

Dracaena deremensis 'Janet Craig Compacta': Shiny dark green leaves 8 inches long and 2 inches wide resemble the top of a pineapple. The species reaches 6 feet or taller; the dwarf form D. d. 'Janet Craig Compacta' grows to only 20 inches.

Green Dracena is quite common tough and is a popular and durable accent tree, often used in a Spanish context. It is very slow growing.

Dracaenas are generally rugged, carefree houseplants with a robust and tropical appearance. They are widely used for both home and office plantings. Many tolerate low light conditions.

Red Sensation Cordyline has a bronzy red foliage and grows to about 36 inches tall and it’s leaves are longer and more narrow than that of the Dracaenas.

Adding texture are several spiky dracaenas (Cordyline albertii) that contrast strikingly with white 'I Bless' reblooming iris. Silver dusty miller (Senecio cineraria 'New Look') adds yet another thread to the panoply of shapes, forms, and colors.
