False Lily-of-the-Valley

False Lily-of-the-Valley is common in the Rainforest here on the Olympic Penninsula, from near sea level to subalpine heights. It's often seen in extensive patches along streambanks.

Other common names include Bead Ruby, Canada Beadruby, False Lily-of-the-Valley, Wild Lily-of-the-Valley, Squirrel Berry (Finland), Two Leaf Solomon's Seal, Muguet ...

The latter, a common wildflower of northern forests, bears a cluster of small white blossoms and has many local names, e.g., Canada mayflower and false lily-of-the-valley.
