Foam Flower
Foamflowers are commonly found in the woods of eastern North America, but not nearly often enough in gardens. They are easy to grow and many will spread when given moist soil high in organic matter and shade.
Tiarella are commonly known as foam flowers, because their masses of tiny, spidery flowers atop short stalks collectively look like foam on a stick.

Polyphylla is a clump-forming, rhizomatous perennial, spread by stolons with heart-shaped, scalloped mid green leaves. Producies white-tinged, pink flowers.

Tiarella cordifolia
A perennial with wide, heart-shaped leaves, the foam flower spreads rapidly to form a carpeting ground cover. Leaves are green with burgundy-stained veins, and the foliage turns bronze-red in fall.

Hellebores are wonderful companion plants for Galanthus (snowdrops), Primula (primroses), Tiarella (foam flowers), Epimediums (barrenwort), Pulmonaria (lungwort), and...... well just about anything that pleases you.
Where it shares a bed, it tickles and nudges a tiarella species (Foam flower). I believe the vancouverias are winning the bed over as I can see the flowers of the Tiarella bravely poking above the leaves of the Vancouveria.
Happy in moist soil - as well as dry areas.
