Teucrium is used medicinally to facilitate weight loss, plus many other herbal remedies. However, recent studies show Germander may be hepatotoxic, causing liver problems.

Germander Teucrium (Perennial) Medicinal. Small bushy plant grows from 1'-2'. Aromatic foliage and pink flowers make this an essential element in a Knot Garden design. Nice for rock gardens or borders. Makes a wonderful low evergreen hedge.

Germander speedwell (Veronica chamaedrys) is a stronger growing, coarser species than V. filiformis, flowering March to August. It is native in grassland, open woodland and hedgerows throughout the British Isles.
