The Giant Sequoia should grow in Arkansas, but I personally know of no trees in the state. A tree grows on the grounds of the nation's capitol, surely no cooler or less humid than Little Rock.

The Giant Sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum), a.k.a the Wellingtonia, after
the Duke of Wellington, has more Juniper like foliage, holds the record of
being the largest living thing on the planet.

Giant sequoias are cultivated in Europe and eastern North America as well as the US West Coast. They do best in a moderately fertile, deep, well drained soil, in full sun to partial shade. They like a cool climate.

The Sequoia is a genus in the family Cupressaceae that contains only one species, Sequoia sempervirens. It is the tallest tree in the world and it can live more than 2,000 years.

On the other side of the country, the giant sequoia of California is the largest living thing on earth. The nearby redwoods are also huge in size.
