Golden Club (Orontium) - O. aquaticum is an interesting perennial of the Arum family, 12 to 18 inches high; in early summer its narrow spadix is densely covered with yellow flowers.

Golden club is rare in Connecticut; it is classified as a "species of special concern" by the state.

Golden club has dark green, velvety leaves, which have a water repellant surface. Leaves are two to four inches wide and six to 12 inches long. They are oblong-eliptic. Leaves grow in groups and emerge from the water on stalks.
