Grass Trees is an ancient, primitive genus with several species distributed throughout arid region in Australia. All make very long, grass like, usually nicely bluish-green colored leaves arranged in a dense rosette.

Additions/Revisions: The grass tree was dug up the beginning of 2005 and moved to the Arizona Garden. The resulting pit on Galvez Mall can still be seen like an abandoned prospect.
