Indigofera - Elegant shrubs of medium or dwarf stature, so far as known with us, natives of China and Japan. Very little is known of their garden value, though occasionally seen as wall plants in mild districts. I.

Indigofera is native to China, Japan and Korea and has alternate, compound pinnate leaves that are typical of the Leguminacea family.

Pendulant spikes of pink pea-like blooms are borne throughout summer on this spreading shrubby perennial. A tough medium height groundcover for shade.
