Acoma has a low spreading form with almost pendulous branches. Mature height is 10 feet tall and 11 feet wide. June to September flowers are white. Fall color is purplish-red.

Lagerstroemia fauriei (FAR-ee-i) is more cold hardy and this characteristic was transferred to the many L. indica × L. faurei cultivars released by the U.S. National Arboretum.
