Lime berry grows as a shrub to a height of 9'. It has trifoliate dark-green leaves and small, white fragrant flowers.
The edible fruits are bright red with 2 - 3 small seeds.

Coleus x hybridus 'Lime Green' has large leaves with ruffled edges and are streaked and spattered with red. Lime Green Coleus will grow to about 2 feet and does equally well in full sun or partial shade.

Lime
Use lime to raise the pH of your acidic soil. Several types are available, and which you should use depends on the soil's magnesium content.

Lime is not a plant food; its function is to interact with other material in the soil. By doing so it sets free nutrients which would not otherwise be soluble, and makes them available to the plant roots.

The lime green, maple-shaped leaves of this lovely tree are edged with a broad, irregular band of creamy yellow variegation. It is particularly eye-catching in early summer when the colour is fresh and strong.

Add lime of the soil to reduce acidity

The bark is sometimes bleached with lime sulphur to accentuate its white color.

The leaf stems are a fuzzy purplish-pink and form a dramatic contrast with the lemon lime foliage.
The branches angle upward while the deeply cut leaflets drape downward giving the whole plant a rather elegant, oriental look.

Spray plants one final time with a rose fungicide or lime sulfur spray, making sure to spray all canes and the base of the plant. Tie canes with old nylon stockings or soft twine to prevent canes from whipping in the wind during the winter.

The bark is light brown and smooth while young stems are lime green in color, turning light brown and covered with lenticels. Leaves are alternately arranged and bipinnately compound (6 to 20 inches long), having 20 to 60 leaflets per branch.

A disfiguring mildew (Erysiphe lagerstromiae) needs to be controlled by copper fungicide in spring, and with lime-sulfur in winter, but mildew resistant plants have become available.

Flushes of new growth are lime-green. The leaves are narrow-oval in shape, tapered at both ends, and arranged alternately. Their edges have a thin translucent vein and a groove runs down the upper side of the leaf-stalk.
