Metrosideros fulgens (Scarlet rātā) is a forest liane or vine endemic to New Zealand. It occurs in coastal and lowland forest throughout the North Island and on the west coast of the South Island.

Metrosideros kermadecensis ‘Variegata' forms a wide-spreading tree 20-60 ft (6-18 m) high. The leaves are smaller and more rounded than those of Metrosideros excelsa.
