Mezereon
Mezereon (Daphne Mezereum) - A wild plant in English woods, is a charming and fragrant bush, and the earliest to flower, often in February.
D. mezereum (mezereon): Upright deciduous shrub, growing to a height 1.2m (4ft) and spread up to 1m (3ft). Bears fragrant pink flowers in late-winter, followed by red fruit.
Daphne mezereum, or mezereon, is propagated in the same fashion; prefers full sun but tolerates some shade, and well-drained gritty soil that is not too rich. Zone 5-8
