The Musk Mallow is not an uncommon plant in dry pastures and in hedgerows. It grows 2 feet high, with round, thick, erect stems, somewhat hairy, often purplespotted.

120 (150)cm, Musk Mallow is a semiperennial native throughout C Europe occurring in open sites in rich, stony, slightly dry soils. Makes bright rose flowers above strongly dissected, geranium-like leaves. All densely covered with fine white hairs.
