Additional Comments: The Romans treated rheumatic conditions by flaying their joints with fresh nettles so as to stimulate blood circulation. Nettles are a good source of chlorophyll, and are a traditional spring tonic.

Lamium would be my suggestion - especially the pink ones - they do spread and you will have a sea of pink on top of the white/green leaves - they last for quit a while and then will rebloom in the season.

Our Dead Nettle (or Deadnettle) lives underneath a between fence & rainbarrel. It prefers part shade but will also survive in deep shade.
