Oregano (Majoran) are very aromatic, mostly perennial herbs with a woody base. Many species are used as aromatic herbs in the cookery. They can be easily cultivated in any well drained, preferably rocky soil in a sunny spot.

Oregano is a popular herb in Italian and Mediterranean dishes. Can you imagine a pizza or spaghetti sauce without any Oregano!?! ...

Oregano is an important herb in Greek and Italian cuisine, the dried form having more flavour than the fresh leaves. Perhaps the dish most widely associated with oregano is pizza.

Several species of genus Origanum are native to the MediĀ­terranean, all of which are traded as a spice.

This oregano is very similar to Origanum 'Barbara Tingey' except for being a little shorter. This herb looks best when draping down over a rock wall. The culture is the same for both herbs.

Golden oregano is a robust creeper with tiny, rounded leaves 1/2 to 1 inch wide. Small, pink or lavender to purple flowers stand out above the foliage in early to late summer.

Mexican Oregano is a semi-woody shrub used for culinary purposes in Mexican and Southwestern cuisine, adding a spicy flavor not found with regular Oregano. It will grow to a 24-36' in height with a nice mounding shape, spreading 18-24'.

'Acorn Bank' Oregano is a golden marjoram named after Acorn Bank House in Cumbria, England. It has pointy, 1 inch long leaves with margins that curl inward. The flowers are white, with pink stamens. The height and spread are 20 inches.
