Mohrchen has beautiful purple new growth of the leaves, and rosy pink flowers. S. telephium can grow up to 2 feet high. It resembles S. spectabile but the leaves are more narrow.

Family: Crassulaceae (orpine family)
Aeonium is a succulent plant which branches from near the base, forming clumps with a shape like a branched, ornamental candlestand having several sockets for candles.

Telephium (orpine) and S. acre (common stonecrop) (see fig.). The species are easily cultivated and will thrive in almost any soil. They are. readily propagated by seeds, cuttings or divisions. Crassula has about zoo species, chiefly at the Cape.

Showy sedum was crossed with orpine (S. telephium) in 1955, to produce the very popular hybrid, Sedum X 'Autumn Joy' (also known in the trade as S. 'Herbstfreude').
