Passiflora, the passion flowers or passion vines, is a genus of about 500 species of flowering plants, the namesakes of the family Passifloraceae. They are mostly vines, with some being shrubs, and a few species being herbaceous.

The purple passion fruit makes its home from southern Brazil through Paraguay and in parts northern Argentina. Before 1900, the purple passion fruit was partially naturalized and flourishing in coastal areas of Australia.

Other blooming tropicals widely available as container plants are Allamanda, Cuphea, Ixora, Lantana, Mandevilla, passionflower (Passiflora), Pentas, leadwort (Plumbago), blue trumpet vine (Thunbergia grandiflora) and Tibouchina.

Pearl Lemon is C. margarita. Sweet Lemon is C. Lumia. Water Lemon is Passiflora laurifolia. Wild Lemon or Ground Lemon is Podophyllum peltatum. Lemon Yellow is the name of Chrome Yellow, a neutral lead-chromate.
