( Blue Rambler Rose )
'Veilchenblau' is a rambling rose which produces fragrant, small, semi-double violet flowers streaked with white, fading to gray. Flowers early in the season.

Climber And Rambler Roses
Climbing roses are not climbers in the sense that many vines are, since they do not send out tendrils or other growths to attach them to their supports.

Rambler roses usually have numerous small flowers in large bunches but only flower once a year. ‘Albertine' has salmon buds opening to paler flowers. ‘Evangeline' has pale pink fragrant single flowers.

Climbers and rambler roses can be grown up almost any structure that stays still - including trees, old garden sheds, pergolas, fences house walls. the list is endless for growing roses almost anywhere.

Tropaeolum ...

The rambler roses are usually older roses that have one main bloom per year, usually in the spring or early summer. Blooms tend to be small and come in large clusters.

A vigorous climber (to 20 feet or more). Actually a rambler rose, not a true climbing rose. White and pink flowers with a crisp fragrance. Continuous blooming from early summer into late fall (prune in the late summer).

Layering is sometimes used, especially for shrub, climber and rambler roses.
Roses can be raised from seed, and if they are species roses will come true to type, but cultivars will not come true to type.
