Plant Type: This is a non-native herbaceous plant, it is a short lived perennial or biennial which can reach 66cm in height (26inches). The stem is pubescent.

Additional Comments: According to the Doctrine of Signatures, the white crescentic markings on the leaflets of red clover were seen as a sign that the plant could be of benefit in the treatment of cataracts.

MEDICINAL: Red Clover is used as a nerve tonic and as a sedative for exhaustion. It is used to strengthen those children with weak systems, and is used with children for coughs, bronchitis, wheezing, as it is mild to their systems.
