Ribes Gordonianum - A hybrid between R. aureum and R. sanguineum, is an old and tolerably common shrub"intermediate in growth as well as in flowers, which are an orange-red; it is distinct and showy.

RIBES DISEASE PROBLEMS
Anthracnose is caused by Pseudopeziza ribis and the
symptoms are spots on the lower leaves, which then drop.
The circular, brown to black spots also form on the fruit
and leaf stems.

The cultivar is also on average shorter than the majority of Ribes sanguineum cultivars. Ours is already a little taller than the average, although twelve feet is not at all impossible for it to achieve.
