This perennial plant is a native to nonthern Europe and Greenland.The 1" flowers form may be pink, white, or red. The foliage resembles a course, flat, grass, forming a cushion 6"-12" tall.

Sea Thrift, Sea Pink
The grasslike leaves of these summer-blooming perennials form spreading tufts of foliage. The sturdy flowering stems end in ball-shaped clusters of tiny flowers. Good in rock gardens, edging and borders.

Here's a variegated sea pink with light green leaves, edged with cream. These make a clump of frothy foliage which supports long-stalked, bright pink summer flowerheads. This cultivar is far removed from the natural looking wild plant.
