Snowflake Euphorbia
This South African succulent Euphorbia polygona is the cultivar "Snowflake," shown here in the Brigsby's form.

Summer Snowflake first blooms around the end of April or the first of May, about a week after dogwoods finish. The white flowers are individually about the size of a quarter, but borne in a flat head that is to four inches across.

Snowflake Oakleaf Hydrangea
A standout among oakleaf types, Snowflake Hydrangea quercifolia shows off large heads of double flowers. The flowers often turn rosy-pink before maturing to a rich brown in fall. It grows 6 feet tall and 10 feet wide.

'Snowflake' - One of the most spectacular flowered selections, this plant sports flower panicles with sterile florets that are full and "double" in appearance. The flowers are so heavy and abundant that they can weigh down the branches.

Summer Snowflake (Leucojum aestivum): This easy bulb actually blooms in mid-to late spring. Small, white, bell-shaped flowers tipped with green are borne on each 20-inch stem.

Description
The snowflakes are bulbous perennials with threadlike or straplike leaves and nodding, dainty white flowers.

Tiarella 'Black Snowflake' has elegant, cut-leaf, nearly black, semi-evergreen foliage. In spring, pink buds open to spikes of fragrant, white blooms on this 20-centimetre- tall by 25-centimetre-wide plant.

Name means "snow white" or "snowflake." Common. Sometimes P. 'Shogetsu' is supplied under this name (and almost certainly 'Hosokawa' also). Usually a vigorous, very strongly spreading tree, wide and low.

Snowdrops are sometimes confused with their relatives, snowflakes, Leucojum and Acis species.

At full bloom, plant is covered with 1 inch white flowers that look like little stars, or with some imagination, snowflakes from a distance. Leaves are elliptic, glossy, evergreen. Native to Sri Lanka, it has become a sought after garden plant.

This Leucojum is a bulbous perennial for woodland, part shade or full sun. Clump forming. Prefers humus rich soil, and is a nice meal for slugs! Plant bulbs in Autumn.

This method is often used for snowdrops (Galanthus) and snowflakes (Leucojum) as they do not re-establish well when planted as dry bulbs.

This 2' softly sprawling Aster provides a delicate carpet of snowflakes in fall that combines naturally with gingers, mosses, partridgeberry and ferns. The small but numerous flowers have white single petals with yellow centers.

Philadelphus x virginalis 'Dwarf Snowflake' is a compact variety only growing 3-4 feet high with double, pure-white flowers with contrasting dark green leaves.

Like snowflakes, you'll be hard pressed to find any two-scented geranium leaves alike. Some scented geranium varieties have nearly round leaves; others have finely-cut, star-shaped leaves. The leaf texture is also a variable characteristic.

Bred to thrive indoors, it comes with snowflake-shaped flowers in a range of delicious colors, from Cassis (royal purple) to Pistachio, pictured here.

The foliage has a lovely shape and is graced with slivery mottling patterns that are as different as snowflakes from plant to plant. Several strains have been isolated by collectors and they come reasonably true from seed.
