Sparsely branched climbing or trailing plant with light green to white green, arrow-shaped leaves. 5 inch greenish white spathes in summertime.

Syngonium podophyllum has bluish-green (i.e. glaucous) or green younger stems and leaf stalks and its adult leaves have leaflets that are usually somewhat unequal in size, with the central leaflet usually being significantly larger than the others.

Syngonium podophyllum is found growing in disturbed sites in Alachua County and the central and southern peninsula of Florida (Wunderlin, 2003). It is native to Central America but escaped cultivation. Arrowhead vines blooms from spring to fall.
