This year's Wayside catalog does not list Cephalotaxus, probably because of unavailability of supply or poor sales during the years it was listed. Just like the blue-light special at K-Mart, better get them while they last.

Many types of Junipers and Taxus may serve as evergreen screens, to block the sight of an undesirable (or private) view in the nearby landscape.

In the late 1800s and early 1900s one or more members of genus Cephalotaxus (commonly known as Plum Yew), was confused with this.

The leaves are deep glossy green, nearly linear, and are spirally arranged along the stem. Shrubby Japanese Yew resembles a true Yew (Taxus spp.), hence the common name. This is a great plant to use as a screen or a specimen.
