Trachelospermum jasminoides is a species of flowering plant in the milkweed family, Apocynaceae, that is native to eastern and southeastern Asia, into Japan, Korea, southern China, and Vietnam.

Trachelospermum jasminoides, or Star Jasmine, is native to China. It is an evergreen, woody vine that will reach about 30 feet (10 meters). The ovate leaves are about 4 inches (10 cm) long.

Variegatum produces white-marked leaves. In general, Trachelospermum jaminoides is a twining evergreen vine, often used as a groundcover.

Trachelospermum jasminoides produces masses of sweet-smelling, star-shaped, white blossoms in the spring. The Confederate or Star Jasmine has shiny dark green leaves and can grow to lengths of thirty inches.
