Description:
This Trout Lily is native to Central California and has butter-yellow, nodding flowers on one-foot tall stalks.

A North American woodland delight, Dog Tooth Lily has been blessed with a variety of regional names: Avalanche Lily, Fawn Lily, Glacier Lily, Trout Lily, Dog Tooth Violet.

Erythronium sibiricum is a bulbous perennial in the family Liliaceae, commonly known as Siberian Fawn Lily or Siberian Trout Lily.

These are of the Turk's-cap shape (that is, with the petals reflexed back rather like a trout lily) in an attractive burnt orange (though this is somewhat variable) fading to a nice clear yellow in the centre.

Intermixed will be other spring woodland flowers including the creamy white pantaloons of Dutchman's breeches and the brilliant yellow trout lily.

These plants often live in areas with harsh climates, like deserts and very cold areas. Some ephemerals include: Desert Paintbrush, Desert Sand Verbena, Dutchman's Breeches, Mojave Aster, and Yellow Trout Lily.
