Vine, reminiscent of Purple trumpet vine, leaves of 2 leaflets, oval-oblong, 2 to 4 in. long; 4-in. long flowers showy, tubular, , orange-red (fading to blueish-red) with yellow throat.

Vine maples are important trees for wildlife. They provide nesting, flower sites and cover for many birds and mammals. The vireo often weave basket-like nests that hang in the forks of the branches.

Sky-vine is native to India. It has escaped from cultivation in Florida, and is found in disturbed areas of Lee County. It blooms all year.

Cinnamon vine, so named because the foliage is said to have a cinnamon scent when crushed, forms large, edible, long-lived underground tubers. Air potato has an insignificant in-ground tuber but the aerial tubers are edible and weight up to a pound.

Arrow-head Vine is a tall woody climber. The triangular leaves with broadly notched bases give the plant its common name, though leaf-shape varies through to oval. The leaves are thick, stiff, glossy, and are mostly 8 - 13 cm long.

The passion vine prefers a frost-free climate. There are some cultivars that can take temperatures into the upper 20′s (F) without serious damage.

January 1,1998 Hi, I have a question regarding a Clematis Jackmanii vine. I have read that the pruning methods for this plants varies according to variety. Some will only flower on old growth and some will only flower on new growth.
