The Wallflower grows 12-24 inches tall in full sun or light shade and should be planted in a well-drained soil.

Grown for their showy, orange or yellow, usually fragrant flowers, these annuals and perennials are very drought-tolerant and live longer when grown in lean, rocky soils.

Madeira Wallflower are woody sub shrubs with somewhat slightly succulent leaves and allied to Erysimum and Matthiola (see above), growing in dryish, rocky soils in exposed spots at lower altitudes on Madeira.

Description
Erysimum linifolium 'Bowles Mauve' is a great perennial that will flower in late spring. Flowers are 4 petaled in spikes and bright mauve-pink to lilac in color. The foliage has linear leaves and a gray-green color.
