An ornamental grass with broad, weeping, banded leaves and feathery, beige, flower clusters. This is a graceful clumping grass which stands out as a focal point in a border. Cut back before new growth starts in spring.

 


Zebra Grass grows as an upright clump of coarse, gold speckled leaves. Fairly drought tolerant and grows in a wide range of soil types but does best in rich, moist soil

'Strictus' (Porcupine Grass) is an improved, strongly upright form of zebra grass, growing to 6 feet tall. It also has bright yellow, horizontal bands across the leaf.
'Variegatus' has 5 foot tall brightly white striped foliage.
