I have heard of lesbian couples having "turkey baster" babies. Is there a home method of artificial insemination that we could try?

ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION USING A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER
The definition of infertility is a couple who has been trying to become pregnant for at least one year without success.

ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION (AI): Placing sperm into the vagina, uterus or fallopian tubes through artificial means, usually injected through a catheter or cannula after the sperm has been washed. This procedure is used for both donor?s and husband?

ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION- Placing sperm into the cervix of the uterus (intracervical insemination-ICI) or directly into the uterine cavity (intrauterine insemination- IUI). The sperm is usually washed then injected through a catheter.

Some are single women who have chosen to have a child on their own through artificial insemination or another method.

When there is mild male infertility, intrauterine insemination (IUI) or artificial insemination is often the treatment of first choice. In IUI, the sperm are collected via masturbation then washed and concentrated.

These can include fertility drugs like clomid, artificial insemination methods like IVF, ICSI, PGD, GIFT, ZIFT, and IUI, and sperm, embryo or egg donation.
