Crib sheets: Buy at least five or risk spending your days folding (and unfolding) crib sheets. Between spit-up and diaper accidents, you'll be changing more sheets than a Holiday Inn. Invest in a waterproof mattress cover, too.

This is no ordinary crib sheet! It acts as a crib sheet, mattress pad and water proof pad all in one sheet. The good news is that it's also a quick change sheet making crib changes much easier.
You may choose to use a waterproof mattress pad on the bottom and put the fitted crib sheet on top of that or you may want to look in to purchasing a waterproof pad/sheet (called sheet-savers) that goes on top of the fitted crib sheet.
You'll need a crib sheet, bumper, and skirt. These are sold separately and in sets; you can buy several sets and then mix and match colors and patterns. They can be inexpensive or quite pricey.
___ Be sure the crib sheet fits snugly.
___ Never put stuffed animals or heavy blankets in the crib with your infant.
___ Never leave your baby unattended on the changing table.
It's a good idea to have 6-7 crib sheets and light blankets. If you are using a crib, you may also want a crib bumper as well.

Don't forget that babies also spend a lot of time in contact with their crib sheet and blankets. These items can be found in organic cotton, too. New suppliers are designing attractive organic baby items every day.
