D&E: dilation and evacuation. A procedure in which the cervix is dilated and the baby and placenta are removed. Usually performed between the 14th and 20th weeks of pregnancy.
4) Dilation and Evacuation or D&E- In this method the uterus is cleaned by the use of instruments and suction once the cervix of the pregnant woman has been opened.
Friday I thought I might be miscarrying (I haave had 2 previous miscarriages, one spontaneaous, one was fetal demise ended in a D&E).
