When she told me I was fully dilated, I was astonished. I didn't believe her. I'd heard so many stories about women who labour for hours and arrive at hospital only to be told they're two centimetres dilated.

 


I dilated 1 cm pretty much
I dilated 1 cm pretty much every week once I hit 36 weeks, and I think I was between 2-3 cm after my 38 wk appointment...and the day before my 39 week appointment (12 days before my due date), my fluid started leaking.

What is dilated cardiomyopathy?
Dilated cardiomyopathy is the most frequent form of non-ischemic cardiomyopathy. The cavity of the heart is enlarged and stretched (cardiac dilation) causing the heart to become weak and not pump normally.

Dilated eye exam, during which the retina and optic nerves are examined with magnification for signs of damage using a device called ophthalmoscope Tonometry, a test that measures the pressure inside the eye. Difficult to complete in many children.

A fully dilated cervix opens to 10 centimeters and this can vary depending on the size of your practitioner's fingers.

A short or dilated cervix before 36 weeks of pregnancy (which are risk factors for preterm labor).
A uterine malformation that could threaten the pregnancy, such as a bicornate uterus.
High blood pressure or signs of preeclampsia.

Getting from 9cm dilated to fully dilated took me three hours. Everything seemed to slow down at 9cm.

of the uterus is scraped to clean the uterus after a miscarriage or pregnancy, and to diagnose or treat heavy or prolonged bleeding.

Hemorrhoids are dilated veins near the rectum that become engorged because of the pressure on that part of the body or because of pushing during delivery.
