ECV - External Version
ECV or external version is a combination of relaxation and abdominal manipulation designed to turn the fetus to a head down position.
If it is determined that an external version is in the best interest of the mother and her baby, by all means attempt to do so. The obstetric model of version relies on the use of tocolytic drugs and continuous ultrasound.

I take it that your doctor is not willing to discuss "external version" or trying to turn the baby from the outside. I think it's worth asking about.
There are two ways to do this: During an external version, the doctor moves your baby by pressing on the outside of your belly. During an internal version, the doctor inserts his hand through your vagina and cervix and moves the baby from the inside.

What are your insights on the external version, when they turn your baby? I would love to hear if anyone had that done.
Your doctor may try to turn the baby before delivery- this is called an external version. The doctor will try to turn the baby so that the head is down, pointing toward the pelvis.
If your baby is breech, you may need a cesarean or your care provider might recommend an external version in which your abdomen is manipulated in such a way that it turns head down. This is successful 60 to 70% of the time.
Abbie was presenting breech, so I tried everything spinningbabies.com could recommend to flip a breech. We even paid a chiropractor to come in and work on me, and eventually allowed the doctors to do an external version. She refused to flip.
