flat nipple ~ a nipple that cannot be compressed outward, does not protrude or become erect when stimulated or cold.
If nipples invert, or "dent" inward, with stimulation, try the interventions mentioned for flat nipples. Nipple eversion devices are available. Ask a certified lactation consultant (IBCLC) for information.
Women who have inverted nipples (that turn inward rather than protrude out) or flat nipples (that don't become erect as they should when your baby is nursing) also may have trouble breastfeeding and may experience frequent nipple pain.
lol i think i might have the flat nipple thing described on this page.. i mean when im cold or if my nipple is touched then it goes into the normal. but if im neither cold or stimulated my nipples are pretty flat, not like completely flat but kind of.

Inverted or flat nipples may make breast-feeding difficult. This condition may be improved with the use of breast shields in the latter part of pregnancy.
Flat nipples may mean you and your baby need a little more help and patience at the start to get a good 'fix'. You can buy devices which draw the nipple out during pregnancy. The majority of nipples are just fine for breastfeeding.
