hysterosalpingogram
A test used to evaluate the health and patency of the uterus and Fallopian tubes. Dye is injected into the uterus and an X-ray is taken.

HYSTEROSALPINGOGRAM (HSG): An x-ray of the pelvic organs in which a radio-opaque dye is injected through the cervix into the uterus and fallopian tubes. This test checks for malformations of the uterus and blockage of the fallopian tubes.

hysterosalpingogram (HSG) -- a test where dye is pushed into the uterus, and then x-rayed to see the shape of the uterus, and if there is blockage in the fallopian tubes. This test cannot be performed when you are pregnant. See also testing.

Hysterosalpingogram (HSG)
