Hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy, as the name suggests (hystero = uterus; scopy = to see), is a surgical procedure in which a telescope is inserted inside the uterus to examine the uterine lining.

Hysteroscopy may be used for both diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. The hysteroscope allows for easy visual access to the interior of the cervix and uterus to assess the lining of these structures.

The hysteroscopy is an important tool in the study of infertility, recurrent miscarriage, or abnormal uterine bleeding.

Hysteroscopy- The hysteroscope is used to visualize the uterine cavity. CO2 gas or water is introduced into the uterine cavity causing it to expand. The doctor then inserts a small "telescope device" and directly examines the inside of the uterus.

Hysteroscopy (HSC) -- A procedure in which the doctor checks for uterine abnormalities by inserting a fiber-optic device. Minor surgical repairs can be executed during the procedure.

Hysteroscopy
Direct visualization of the interior of the uterus in order to evaluate any abnormalities that may be present. This is done by inserting a hysteroscope (a long, narrow, illuminated tube) through the cervix into the expanded uterus.

My RE did a hysteroscopy and found no scar tissue or fibroids or polyps in my uterus. he said my uterus looks great. All my blood work and genetic testing came back normal as well.
