Implantation &The Embryonic Period of Development
Implantation refers to the attachment of the zygote to the wall of the uterus .

Implantation occurs normally around the time when you'd be expecting your period. This early stage of pregnancy can cause cramping and some spotting, but many moms-to-be feel no change (yet!) in their bodies.

Implantation (Embryo)
Implantation - the embedding of the embryo into tissue so it can establish contact with the mother's blood supply for nourishment.

As we discussed in our last post, following ovulation, the corpus luteum produces progesterone that prepares ('decidualizes') the endometrium to receive the fertilized egg; and, if implantation of the embryo occurs normally, ...

Implantation. You may notice a small amount of vaginal bleeding very early in pregnancy, about 10 to 14 days after fertilization. This "implantation bleeding" happens when the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of your uterus.

Implantation Bleeding
If you experience spotting or cramping between periods, this may be an indication that implantation of your embryo into the uterine wall has occurred.

Implantation Spotting
Spotting may occur approximately eight to 10 days from ovulation. It usually happens around the same time you would have gotten your menstrual period.

Implantation bleeding or cramping
This is caused by the egg burrowing into womb lining.

Implantation of the embryo into your uterine wall. Such spotting will usually occur before (or in some cases around the time) you expected your period.
Sex or an internal pelvic exam or pap smear.

Implantation Bleeding
Approximately six to 12 days after concept, an embryo will implant itself in the uterine wall. This can cause cramping and spotting in some women.

Implantation
After entering the uterus, the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining, or endometrium. This process is called implantation. The cells continue to divide.

Implantation (About 5-7 days after fertilization): The egg attaches to the lining of the uterus. The fertilized egg begins to grow and doubles in size every day.

Implantation Bleeding - Slight uterine bleeding that normally occurs at the time of implantation of the fertilized egg. It is caused by disruption of blood vessels at the implantation site is normally not a cause for concern.

Implantation or Imbedding of the Ovum - Fertilization of the ovum occurs in the lateral or ampullary end of the uterine tube and is immediately followed by segmentation.

Implantation
The embedding of the conceptus (embryo) into the lining of the uterus.

IMPLANTATION - The process of attachment of the embryo to the maternal uterine wall.
INFERTILITY - The inability to conceive after a year of unprotected, well-timed intercourse, or the inability to carry a pregnancy to term.

Implantation. The process whereby an embryo embeds in the uterine lining in order to obtain nutrition and oxygen. Sometimes an embryo will implant in areas other than the uterus, such as in a fallopian tube. This is known as an ectopic pregnancy.

Implantation
The process by which the fertilized oocyte (zygote) becomes attached to the wall of the uterus (endometrium), usually occurring five to seven days after ovulation ...

Implantation

Implantation
The embedding of a fertilized egg in the endometrium of the uterus.

Implantation
Attachment of the fertilized egg to the uterine lining. This usually occurs about five days after ovulation.
In utero
Inside the womb.

Implantation bleeding
Some women have a small amount of vaginal bleeding around 11 or 12 days after conception (close to the time you might notice a missed period).

Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) allows the IVF team to screen the embryos for certain birth defects before they are replaced into the mother's uterus.

Once implantation occurs, your cervix gets slightly wider and softer, and a thick mucous plug seals off the uterus to protect it from infection. Some women experience cramping and spotting on implantation.

Implantation bleeding. An embryo will attach to the wall of the uterus about eight to 14 days after conception. This might cause a little bit of spotting and possibly some cramping.

What is Implantation Bleeding?
Many women have heard the term "implantation bleeding", but do not know what it is, and some have not heard it at all and tend to worry when it happens. What exactly is implantation bleeding?

Implantation occurs. Once the blastocyst gets to the uterus, it searches for a spot to settle down. Blastocyst means "sprout pouch," and these cells begin to divide into two groups - those that form the placenta and those that form the baby.

Implantation (also called nidation): the process by which the fertilized egg attaches to the uterine lining. Usually occurs around 1 week after the egg is fertilized.

The most benign type of bleeding is called "implantation bleeding". This is bleeding from the site in the uterus where the developing fetus has chosen to implant. It is painless bleeding and occurs often.

Doing a urine test for human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) very early in pregnancy (during the first week after implantation) or on a urine sample taken in the middle of the day. The test may not always show an early pregnancy.

For the purposes of this article, one fact is important to remember: The date of "implantation" (when a pregnancy begins) is not the same as the date of conception.

This is called implantation bleeding, and is caused by the egg implanting itself in your uterus. As the egg finds a home for itself in your uterus, it may disrupt the lining just a little bit, causing light bleeding.

In assisted reproductive technology, assisted hatching is sometimes used in an effort to improve implantation rates. Assisted hatching is done in addition to either IVF or IVF and ICSI.

Implantation: Ten to 14 days after an egg is fertilized it will implant in the uterus. This can sometimes cause spotting or even menstrual-like bleeding.

Serum beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is the hormone produced by the syncytiotrophoblast beginning on the day of implantation, and it rises in both the maternal blood stream and the maternal urine fairly quickly.

By day five post-ovulation (you still don't know you are pregnant), the blastocyst enters the uterus and implantation begins. Up until now the fertilized egg has simply been growing and dividing cells.

This is very likely the week you experience your first missed period or see only some slight spotting, called implantation bleeding.

The gland produces progesterone, which is responsible for preparing and supporting the uterine lining for implantation. Progesterone also causes the half-degree or more basal temperature elevation noted after ovulation.

Although the cause of placenta previa is unknown, some experts believe that placental implantation cannot take place on the same part of the uterine wall more than once.

Implantation bleeding can be noticed around the same time as the expected menstruation. It therefore is often confused with having a period. Implantation bleeding is usually less and of a different color than a normal period.

We may not be able to judge the success of re-implantation for many years. If root changes continue after root canal therapy, the tooth will most likely be lost.
