According to my LMP of February 22, conception occurred around March 8.

How Accurate is Dating by LMP and Scan?
When your dates are calculated from the LMP, this presumes that fertilisation occurs 2 weeks later.

The only real reason to do an early ultra-sound is if you don't know dates of LMP or conception. I knew both conception date and LMP for both of my children because I knew I was pregnant within 24 hours.

Though pregnancy begins at implantation, it is more convenient to date from the first day of a woman's last menstrual period (acronym = LMP), or from the date of conception (if known).

So LMP was July 9th Pos OV 25-27th. I think I ovulated on the 26th (I had cramps) BD'd every other afternoon until the 25th, then every day. Now I have to hang about!! Ahhh! I hate this part.
